NOTE: 1.10 will include MANY new features and enhancements, if there is
something you would like to see added or changed, please let us know
ASAP. The pre-releases are to test the new Inter-BBS and get some
feedback on the new features. There are several more things to be
added to 1.10.
Version 1.09 - Final Pre-Release of 1.10
- Fixes ALL problems with Inter-BBS routines. This includes correctly
routing outbound, correctly processing inbound, correctly updating
at night, and NOT creating tons of files on systems with node
addresses longer than 15 characters (it was a typo, supposed to be
25 characters long). If you notice something, notify us ASAP!
- New sorting routines for players. No more long delays during
startup (especially on LAN systems). The player sorting will only
take place during nightly maintenance (automatically).
- Added a new Ally system. This includes letting users vote for a
magistrate, and allowing the magistrate to form alliances with
other realms.
- Sysops can send file attaches to all other systems in the league
using the SENDALL command
- ALL Inter-BBS functions now default to a maximum of three times
per day. LC's can configure these max's in the INTERBBS.CFG
(see INTERBBS.DOC)
- Fixed problems with miracles occuring on unknown BBSs
- Added the ability to quote messages you are replying to.
- Removed extra spaces from subject, to and from fields. The fields
are now padded with null characters.
- Found and corrected the last free item. All inventory items that
are helpful now cost something.
- Limited the number of times a user can visit the trader.
- Decreased the strength of the Attacking Armies
- Added checks to make sure large money amounts are working correctly
- Changed format of artwork files
- Outbound file format is now IL<to BBS number>xxxx.<tag> where
xxxx is a time stamp. BBS number is from 01 to 99.
Version 1.06 - Pre-Release of 1.10
- Will require everyone on the league to run Version 1.06 or above.
- The auto-update will NOT work for this release, this is because the
inbound and outbound routines have been changed to not rely on the
.MSG file for processing inbound information.
- Users will be able to build a wall to protect their realm (soon).
- Fixed numerous small bugs
- Made "mean" things more expensive, and "nice" things less expensive
- Got rid of all free items...caused problems with users abusing them
- Fixed the problem with miracles not occuring...
- Certain attacks now bring back experience among other things (helps
to balance the game better).
- Players now have to pay gems to fight those at lower levels (was
supposed to work that way before).
- If a higher level player attacks a lower level player, the lower
level player gets some of the gems the higher level player had to
pay in order to do the attack.
Version 1.05
- Added auto maintenance routines. MAINTAIN MAINTAIN is no longer
needed at midnight, but can still be used. Checks are performed
when Inter-LORD is run and when any of the Maintain routines are
run to see if maintenance needs to be done.
- Added the ability for the league coordinator to view all information
for all players in the tournament.
- Added the ability for duplicate players to delete their own account
from the LORD PLAYER.DAT.
- Added MIRACLES. These will occur on a random realm whenever someone
causes an evil deed to occur on a realm. The miracles are a way
of balancing out the effects of plagues, bank bombings etc...and
add some more depth to Inter-LORD
- Added a new character, the Friar. He will let one realm do good
deeds for another realm. This will be helpful in forming alliances.
- Player listings can now be cancelled with a spacebar hit instead
of a double enter.
- Players now have to pay gems if they want to kill someone more than
two levels below them (2 gems for each level under them).
- Added support for BINKLEY to the maintenance routines. See
INTRLORD.DOC for more information.
- Added a check to stop the abuse of healing items. Players may not
use those items any longer, unless their hit points are below the
max hit points.
- Added ability to adjust polling time (in milliseconds) between polls
to the keyboard. This will help SysOps customize the time slicing
on their systems. A value of zero will turn off auto polling and
will cause the program to sit and wait for user input (without
processing background information).
- Added responses from army attacks if the military soldier was
defeated or the remote player ran away. This will help better
inform the BBS that sent the army of results.
- Added responses from monster attacks if the monster won, was
defeated or the remote player ran away. This will help better
inform the player that sent the monster of results.
- Added the ability for players to lose some of their gold when
they run away from a military soldier or monster.
- Increased the rewards sent to the remote system from successful
army attacks.
- Changed the auto reset to be soley controlled by BBS #1's date
system.
- Listed new phone numbers in all documentation
- Code has been optimized to be smaller and use less memory
- Fixed a problem in the config that "forgot" the major BBS setting

BBS it was from in the description

the major commands and actions.
- Added a listing of leagues to join in LEAGUES.DOC. Let us know
about your league if you want it added to the list.

It turns out that LORD reports the caller baud incorrectly under
Major BBS and World Group.

- Configuration program now appends backslashes automatically.
- RESET now resets the number of days LORD has been running and
works correctly all of the time.

systems that it does not have enough data to process correctly
(instead of exiting with an error)

line on pages 2 and over.

on throughout the network just by reading the LORD daily news file!
Can be configured to just display information pertaining to your
BBS or show everything happening on all BBS's!
- Added a correction for Ctrl-E answerbacks to eliminate problems
- Speeded up the initilization of Inter-LORD and player listings.
(some accuracy in the sorting is sacrificed for the speed gains).

- MAINTAIN OUTBOUND can now be used during the day to make passing
messages and battle results possible all day long. The player
data will only be sent at midnight
- Added MAINTAIN CLEANUP command line parameter that will cause
Inter-LORD to process incoming files even without attached netmail.
No hubbing will be performed on these files.
NOTE: Very few of the following bugs were reported, but we found them while
doing extensive testing locally.
- Fixed a problem with not processing mail messages correctly.
- Fixed a problem with handling deleted accounts. This was causing
unpredictable data to show up in player listings. May also have
been the cause of some system incompatabilities.

run away from a battle.
